Little Tangles Challenge #63 - Create a Tag

Hi.   I haven't made many tags lately so I was happy to see a tag being the new challenge for Little Tangles this month.  I made my tag using the Faceted and Elves at Work stamps sets by Neat & Tangled.

Short post today as I'm off on a cruise to New Zealand tomorrow, and can't wait!  Lots of packing to do though :)

25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS TAGS

Hi.  I am excited to be taking part in Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags series on her blog, In My Creative Opinion.  I am taking part for Neat & Tangled stamps.  I decided to make a shaker tag using a Pretty Pink Posh die - decorative tags 1 and the Little Santa Girl set from Neat & Tangled.

I need to stop making mostly white cards and tags I think, they just don't photograph that well for me but it does look really pretty in real life.

Tag Happy Holidays

Make sure you head over to Tracey's blog to check out what the rest of the team and Tracey have created.  There is also a $25 gift certificate to the Neat & Tangled store up for grabs today as well as lots of other prizes throughout the series :)

Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop - Guest Designer

I was very excited and honoured to be asked by Jane to be a guest designer for her release of the super cute stamp set Winter Wishes.  This is definitely going to get a lot of use for my Christmas cards this year.

You may have come from Carisa's blog if your following the blog hop, but if not the full hop list is at the bottom of my post....... There are two stamp set to be won, so hop along ;)

For my first card I used the cute penguin, stamping it twice, one normally and for the second one I stamped a mirror image of it by stamping it onto a block stamp and then pressing that stamp onto paper (I'm sure there is a better way to explain this lol) The outline was not as sharp as the normally stamped one, so I used a Memento marker to outline it and it looked great.  I coloured the penguins in with Copics, before fussy cutting them.

I made a background with some embossing paste and stencil before watercoloring a pale background.   I added the penguins, a heart and a sentiment heat embossed onto black cardstock.  I die cut some panels before adhering them to a red card base.

I tried to make it look like they were holding hands... awww :)

Warm Wishes JD

For my second card I used the santa hat image along with two of the snowflakes to make a background.  I coloured the hats with Copics and added some Glitter Snow to the hat but it might be a bit hard to see in the picture.  In real life it really adds something to the card. I wanted to leave the card fairly plain to make the background stand out so I only added a sentiment onto a flag piece of card to finish it off, before adding it to a black card base.
Happy Holidays JD
Next up with have the talented Vesna, don't forget there are two stamp sets to be won by following and commenting on the hop.  Make sure you check out the Winter Wishes set and others at Jane's Doodles shop!
