There were some fantastic cards last week for the peach & mint challenge, so many stunning creations. This week it is acetate time. I decided to use the acetate to make a shaker card, I'm a little behind on this trend, it's my first shaker card, and it shows! I should have stuck to a square window or something like that but I went with the circle and had to hand cut it out around the flowers as they are on the same layer, not adhered separately. The more I tried to 'fix' my circle the more I saw issues, so I had to stop or I wouldn't have had a card left, lol.
I did some water colouring on the panel behind the acetate, it looked better on the larger piece I painted as you don't really get the effect in the smaller circle but I still think it's pretty. And of course I used some of the beautiful Neat and Tangled sequins to shake around. I thought the flowers looked a bit bare left plain so I added a bit of colour to them but had to be careful as it's normal card stock they are on and I was using Inktense pencils on them. I should have used my Prisma colour pencils in hindsight I think that would have looked better, I forget about them, they are sadly under used.
Well enough moaning about my card, I still like it, it's just not finished off the way I would have liked it.
I must say I seem to use the Fresh Blooms set a lot, I can't help it, I love it!
Hope to see your creations over on the Little Tangles Challenge blog.
