Case Study #172

Hi. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you got to spend some quality time with your family and friends.  Our family had a great time but it was very hectic.  The goal next year is to slow down and not be rushing everywhere!

I am here to share a card I made for the latest Case Study challenge.  I was inspired by the doily and the flowers in the picture.

I used embossing paste and a die cut from one of the dies from the Dizzy Doily Duo from MFT to create my doily background.  I water coloured some flowers from the Happy Everything stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps and as well as die cutting the image I die cut some vellum to put behind the image, but it's a bit hard to see the vellum in the photo.  I used the SSS Tilted Banner Sayings stamp and die for my sentiment and I tried putting some cotton behind the image as I have seen Laura Bassen do on a number of occasions but it didn't quite turn out like hers, lol.

Thank You

Well that's it from me for now, I hope your having a great day!

Lawn Fawn CHA 2014 Catalog Challenge

The Lawn Fawn Catalog Challenge sounded like a fun idea, so I thought I would make a card and give it a go!  I went with the ABCs category and used Quinn's ABCs for my card along with the 'star' from Claire's ABCs.

I hope your having a great weekend!

Christmas with Mama Elephant

Hi there!  Some new Mama Elephant goodies arrived for me recently and thought I would use them to start making my Christmas cards.  I just love this tree, and the dies are gorgeous!

I coloured the tree in with Copic markers, and then added some glossy accent dots and sprinkled some Antique Linen distress glitter over it.  I love the effect.  I used a sentiment from the same set, Cozy Christmas, for the first card pictured but decided to use some sentiments from some other sets as well. Many to go but at least I have started........

I am going to put this is the Paper Players Challenge #174 - Evergreen & CAS on Sunday - Winter theme.

 Thanks for stopping by :)
