Little Tangles Challenge #9 - Shaped Cards

Hello, thanks for visiting my blog.  I'm posting for the latest Little Tangles challenge which is Shaped Cards this time around.  I've gone for a tall card, it measures 6.5" x 4".  Not exactly a 'different shape' but different for me :)

I used the fab sets 'My Heart Sings' and 'Kindness Matters' by Neat & Tangled for my card.  I stamped the bird and hearts, and used Inktense pencils to colour them in.  I keep saying it but I am so impressed with these pencils, I love using them.

And of course you have the chance to win one of the fabulous Neat & Tangled stamps so please play along and link up over at the Little Tangles Blog!  You have until March 31 at 11:59 EST.

Thanks for stopping by, I truly appreciate it x

Moxie Fab World

I've had some fun this morning creating some cards for two challenges that are on the Moxie Fab World blog at the moment.

My first one is for The Ombre Challenge, I black heat embossed the Unity Stamp images from the Enjoy This Day set, then tried to get an ombre effect with my new Inktense pencils. I'm not sure if I achieved the look I was after as I'm still getting used to the pencils, but I still like it :)

My second card is for The Chevron Challenge.  I stamp The Alley Way Stamps chevron stamp from the Background Basic set ( I love, love this set), in Red Royal mid-tone ink from Hero Arts.  I did some more heat embossing, stamping the Family Tree set from Unity Stamp in black ZING and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp set Banner Sayings in white ZING.

Better get back to the craft desk while I can, have a great day!

CASE Study Challenge #131

I have always loved this card by Julie Ebersole so I was excited to see it as this weeks CASE study challenge card. I LOVE her remake, maybe even a little bit more than the original!

Here is my take on her card:

I heat embossed the Hero Arts Large Blossom stamp onto watercolour paper and then used my new Inktense pencils to colour in the flowers. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts, Studio Calico set, Heydey Sentiments.

I must say I am loving the Inktense pencils, my wonderful hubby gave them to me for my birthday yesterday and I haven't stopped playing with them.

I am also going to put this card in this months challenge at Hero Arts - Hello Spring!

Thanks for stopping by today x

Little Tangles Challenge #8 - Anything Goes!

It's 'anything goes' this time around for the Little Tangles Challenge, so get your Neat & Tangled Stamps out or get your free digi from here and make sure you play along!

I love circle stamps, so I love, love, love the Party Dots set.  I stamped the circles in Hero Arts shadow ink in soft pink and heat embossed the sentiment from the same set with silver Zing embossing powder.  Pretty simple card but it took way longer than it should have after making a few silly mistakes, don't you hate it when you adhere your panel upside down on your card base!

It looks a lot better in real life too, I just couldn't get the lighting right at all and then couldn't fix it on the computer either, oh well I just have to accept I was having a bad day.

And of course you have the chance to win one of the fabulous Neat & Tangled stamps so please play along and link up over at the Little Tangles Blog!  You have until March 17 at 11:59 EST.

I am going to put this card in the CAS on Sunday challenge #3 - Happy Birthday.
