TAWS - FOR YOU

Hi!  It is Christmas Eve here and we have been having a great day!  Being a blended family it is sometimes difficult for us to be all together for long on Christmas Day, so we have started our own tradition of us being all together having lunch on Christmas Eve.  We normally open one present and save the rest for Christmas Day, we all had a lot of fun and laughs.

Even though it is Christmas Eve, I don't have a holiday card to share today.  I made this card with my husband in mind, I used the sets Jibber Jabber & Doodle Frames from The Alley Way Stamps.

I am sad writing up this post as it will be my last for The Alley Way Stamps, things are a little hectic in my home and work life right now so I decided not to continue for another term, which was a really difficult decision.  Alison and all the DT girls are amazing and I am so thankful I was given the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic team.  I can't wait to see what fantastic sets you come up with Alison!

I hope you all have a wonderful christmas and thank you for stopping by my blog today. x

Little Tangles Challenge #3 - Colour Combo

It's time for another awesome Little Tangles challenge, it's a colour combo challenge this time!  Don't you just LOVE these colours together, I decided to take a break from holiday cards and made a thank you card as such.

I used the fab sets, Kindness Matters and Little Tangles from Neat & Tangled Stamps.  I heat embossed the pattern and sentiment with WOW embossing powder in Cable Car red, I cut the sentiment die cut shape out of my panel and the placed some foam squares on the panel negatives leftover to set them higher than the sentiment shape, if that makes sense!  You can't really tell in the picture but it looks quite effective in real life.  I finished it off with some PTI ribbon and some gems and placed it on a card I had embossed with Whimsy embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts.

When participating in the challenges, we encourage you to use Neat & Tangled stamps, but it is not required.  If you don't have any Neat & Tangled stamps yet, that's okay, please still play along, and there are some FREE digital stamps over on the Little Tangles Challenge Blog you can use as well!

By playing along you have the chance to win one stamp set of your choice from Neat & Tangled stamps so make sure you link up your creation over on the Challenge Blog, you have until Sunday, December 30 at 11:59 EST.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to play along! x

TAWS - Hello There

Hi, wow it's been busy in my world, I have hardly had a chance to make a card lately and I'm missing my bit of crafty time so much.  I'm sure most people are just as busy this time of year though!

I'm sharing a simple card I made using the Petal Pushers Set from The Alley Way Stamps, I white heat embossed the flower and vase image from the set and then stamped the flower again on patterned paper, the sentiment is also from the same set :)

Thanks for stopping by at this busy time of the year!

TAWS - Thanks

Hi.  Hope you have had/having a wonderful weekend.  It has been pretty hectic here with kids sport, work functions and just the everyday stuff.  I can't see it slowing down anytime soon either, maybe after christmas.  This time of year is great but very tiring too.

In between everything I did manage to put together this card.  I love the flower in the Petal Pusher set from The Alley Way Stamps, so I paper pieced it twice but cut down one a bit smaller.  I like the way this card turned out actually, very CAS just the way I like it :)

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by The Alley Way Stamps blog for more inspiration!

TAWS - Birthday Wishes

Hello!  I decided to make a tag for my share from The Alley Way Stamps today.  I used the new background stamp 'Love Knots' on the front of the tag, and the sentiment is from the set 'Bite Size.'  After stamping the front of the tag, I die cut the bird using the Perched Reed Bird  die from Memory Box, and put some clear rocky candy Distress Stickles in the negative space to add some sparkle.

As my tag has some 'sparkle', I am going to put it in the latest CAS-ology challenge.

Don't forget to check out the TAWS blog for more inspiration, thanks for stopping by :)

The Alley Way Stamps - Love You

Hi, I'm back with another TAWS card to share.  I just love this new background stamp, Love Knots.  After clear embossing the background onto kraft cardstock I cut out the heart from the panel and filled it with red microbeads.  It didn't go real well, I think I need some practice using those fiddly little beads, so I thought I would cover it with glossy accents to bulk it up a bit.  It still didn't turn out how I intended but I still like the effect.

I am going to put this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head over to the TAWS blog for more inspiration!
