CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #49

What a great CAS sketch to work with for the last CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  I decided to use a new envelope punch I purchased recently, I think the little envelopes are so cute.

Chevron Colour Trends Challenge - Embellish Magazine

Well I found this really hard! I think the colours are really pretty but they are not colours I normally use so it took me a while to work out how to use them.  This is what I ended up with for the latest Embellish Magazine Challenge.....

Well it has taken me 3 days to complete this card for the latest Play Date Cafe Challenge.  Lots going on with work and family so I just did a little bit when I could.  If I have the energy and my little man stays asleep I hope to do a bit of creating tonight......... fingers crossed.

This is the card I made, I really need to sort out the lighting for taking my photos, it just does not look the same in the photo.

Thanks for looking :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge

I'm glad I made it in time to put in an entry for the latest Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge.  I need to get more of their stamps though as soon as I can.  I love the ones I have but I don't have enough!  This is what I made from the photo inspiration above.   I used the Pretty Phrases set and Spiffy Scooters set for this card :)

Thanks for visiting today :)

CFC #48

Thought I would have a go at the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge, I had a bit of trouble with this one though.  I started off with one idea and ended with another, not sure what I think of it really.  The embossed houndstooth strip was supposed to match the houndstooth green stamping on the coffee cup but I ended up changing it to twine as I didn't like the my stamping.

It was still great to do some crafting, even if the end result wasn't what I wanted.  Have a great day!

Products used:

  • PTI white cardstock
  • PTI Heart 2 Heart #1 stamp set & die
  • Mister Hueys 'overdue' colour mist
  • Peapod twine from The Twinery
  • Red cardstock from stash
  • Fiskars scallop border punch
  • Brilliance ink in Graphite Black
  • Houndstooth embossing folder from cuttlebug

colourQ challenge #130

The card I made didn't really turn out how I imagined when I started but I still like it.......... I think. I used colours close to those in the beautiful inspiration photo from the colourQ Challenge this week.  I hope it is ok that I added the Kraft......................

I used papers from the Papertrey Ink Dotty Biscotti paper pad and the Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the butterflies.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

I'm back again, I've been having a productive weekend, it's been great.  This card was made for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.

I used the bunny from A Little Lovin set but put his paws so that he is holding them out for a hug, and the Hugs sentiment from the Sentiment Sampler set.  Love both these sets.  I also used paper from the October Afternoon, Modern Homemaker paper pad, Nestabilities reverse wonky rectangles and some Honeydew twine.

I am also going to put this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

PDCC #125

It was fun to make a card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge again, I have been a bit busy and haven't had a lot of crafting time lately, so today was a treat.  I had just returned home after buying the Kaisercraft Le Chateau stamp set when I saw this challenge. I thought the birdcage stamp out of it would be perfect to use.

I did emboss the birdcage and sentiment but unfortunately it did not show up very well in the photos.
