cQc #99

This took me a bit longer than I thought it would but I got there in the end.   It is not what I imagined when I began but I like the end result.

CFC #17

I was given a couple of SRM stickers a little while ago so it was great to have an opportunity to use them as I don't normally choose to use stickers.  I used the flowers from #52026 'Mother' stickers.  Others products I used were PTI white card stock, Victorian Velvet Distress ink, EK success punches, Pink twine and the Thank You sentiment from the PTI set, Communique Curves Sentiments.

Embellish - Embossed Flower Color Trends Challenge

I enjoyed doing the embossed flowers on this one for the Embellish Magazine challenge.  I used a Prima Flowers stamp set that I have had for a long time but never used, it is oddly called 'Baby Boy'.

PDCC95 & CFC16

I created this card to put into the Play Date Cafe challenge #95.  I used an embossing folder so I am also going to put in the CAS-ual Fridays Embossing challenge #16.

Kathy's Lily Pad Palette

I made this card for Kathy's Lily Pad Palette challenge where you had to make a card using at least 3 of the colours above.  This is what I came up with.

LIM & CAS-ual Fridays/Clean & Simple Stamping

I didn't do the best job of leaving white space with my last card for the Less Is More challenge week 28 - one layer using ink, so I thought I would try again.  I'm also going to put in in the CAS-ual Friday #15/Clean & Simple Stamping FTL 153 combined challenge.

Thanks for looking :)

I used three different Lawn Fawn stamp sets for this card, the heart and sentiments are from My Silly Valentine, the pole and flag from Cruising Through Life and the plane and clouds from Bon Voyage.  I also used Memento black ink, Hero Arts chalk ink in Punch and Tim Holtz distress inks in Broken China and Tumbled Glass.  I masked the various parts using Inkadinkado stamping mask paper.

LIM & Jay Gee's Nook

It took me a while to work out what to do with this one.  I ended up doing a fair bit of masking to create this card.

As I used a 'purple' ink I am will also put it in the Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #10.

Products Used:

Stamps - Flower from Hero Arts - Flower Pop cling stamp
Sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler
Hero Arts - Dots & Flowers design block

               Memento black ink
Other -
Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper
Kaisercraft - black rhinestones
Papertrey ink white cardstock

I love these colours.  I think I have the same paper pad as a lot of others, My Minds Eye, Stella & Rose Collection - Hattie Papers. It is perfect for this challenge.  I love this paper pad, it was SO hard to actually use a few sheets of it !

I made this card for a challenge on Cards For Men which is challenge 16 - Clean & Simple.  I used Papertrey Ink ribbon so I am also putting it in the challenge on the A Passion for Papertrey blog which is 'For the Boys'.

Papertrey Ink - Saddle Stitch True Black ribbon
My Minds Eye - Stella & Rose Hattie Paper
My Favourite Things - Well Worn Dies & Stamp
White Gel Pen
Black & White card stock

Christmas in August

The baby is sleeping well today so I thought I would give another challenge a go.  The blue on the card has a really nice pearly finish to it which doesn't really show up in the photo.

Simons Says Stamp has a challenge running which is Christmas in August so I thought I would give it a try.  I will also put it in the AUD Sentiments Challenge #34 which is to have Merry Christmas somewhere on your card.

Less Is More Challenge - Week 27 Colour

This weeks LIM Challenge is to use the colour of your nations flag.  I had a bit of trouble working out how to use the colours of the Australian flag but once I came up with the idea I had a lot of fun making this card.  The blue has come out a bit darker in the photo than what it is in real life.

Zing white embossing Power
Tim Holtz distress inks in barn door, broken china, crushed olive and wild honey

Embellish Color Trends Challenge

I made this card for the Embellish Magazine Color Trends Challenge.  I used Kraft card stock and distressed the edges of the card stock and patterned papers with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  The patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Ad Lib Collection & Kaisercraft Rewind Collection.  The stamp is Pot-a-Flower from Purple Onion Designs.  I also used pink twine from The Twinery, Kaisercraft Rhinestones coloured with a Copic marker, Hero Arts Cling stamp, Happy Definition and sentiment from Claudia & Company, So Random Sentiments Set.

I hope you like it, thanks for looking :)

PDCC93 & WMC63

I had fun (mostly) making this card today.  A few things went wrong but I ended up with this and am happy with it now.  Again the lighting is not the best, I need a few lessons in adjusting photos :)

I am also going to put this in the Wee Memories Challenge #63, Dare to Colour.  Although it's not as colourful as some I'm sure, I have still used a minimum of 4 colours :)

Thanks for looking.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC#13 & LIM Week 26 Feeling Fruity Challenge

I love Lawn Fawn stamps.  I used the My Silly Valentine set.  I am going to enter it in the CFC#13 Challenge, The Long and Short of it, and the Less Is More Week 26 Challenge of 'Lucky Dip' Feeling Fruity.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC92

I made this card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge. I received an order from Simon Says Stamp today which included some distress inks.  It was my first try with them and I really like them.  I can't wait to experiment some more.
