Happy Birthday!

I love using gold on cards, so I had to play along with the latest challenge by Scrapbook Boutique.

I used the Golden Garden stamp set by Altenew, but instead of stamping the second layer with a different colour ink, I gold heat embossed it instead.  I like how it turned out, it's not perfect but that's ok.

I am also going to put my card in the latest Seize the Birthday challenge.

Well I'm finally back with a blog post, it has been a long time....

I have still been making the odd card, but life just got so busy that is was really hard to find some spare time.

I've decided to start making a few changes, so that I can spend some quality time with the family, plus get back into this hobby I love.

I've made a card that was inspired by two challenges, the CAS on Sunday - use a repetition image, and Less is More - shimmer.

I used the butterfly die from Concord & 9th for my repetition background, and the My Favorite Things Hugs die which I die cut from paper I had sponged some distress oxide inks onto. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the Hugs die for some shimmer although it's hard to see in the photo, along with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by x

Be a little Shellfish!

Hi.  I'm back with a masculine CAS card today.  I wanted to take part in the new Less Is More challenge, White space but not White.  It was definitely a challenge for me because usually my cards are predominately white.  After making it and reading the guidelines again, I don't think it actually fits as I still used a white card base. So I thought I would still put it in but I didn't get it quite right...... sorry.

I used the Year Six Lawn Fawn set which I think is really cute.  Full list of supplies are listed below.

I am also going to put this in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Sorry for the shadows in the photo.
